Flight at Chisenhale Gallery London
25 January - 12 March 2006
Dryden Goodwin’s Flight is an installation of inter-related elements including live action film, animated intervention, a multi-layered soundtrack alongside hundreds of small-scale pen and ink drawings, which also form the animation within the film.
Flight places the viewer at the centre of the action, through the eyes of an artist fugitive, embarked on an emotional and ambiguous escape journey. The transformative quality of the animated interventions suggests a superimposed fantasy or reverie.
The film element of Flight expands on Dryden’s animate! tv commission, premiered on Channel 4 in December 2005.
Installation sponsored by Barco
